Three weather alerts, issued now. Temperatures drop below -19 degrees. What do the meteorologists announce for the coming days?

The whole country will be under a yellow frost alert until tomorrow morning, at 10:00 a.m., with the lowest temperatures to be recorded in Transylvania and in the mountain areas. According to forecasters, the weather will continue to be particularly cold until January 14, when several code yellow alerts are in effect.

The first yellow code frost alert came into force from 10:00 and is valid during this day, until 20:00. Targeted are the counties of Banat, Crisana, Maramureș, Transylvania, as well as the mountain area, where particularly low temperatures will be recorded, generally -8…-6 degrees and isolated frost with temperatures around -10 degrees.

Bitter frost across the country at night

Subsequently, from 20:00, a second yellow frost code will come into effect, which is valid until tomorrow morning at 10:00.

According to ANM, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, the weather will be frosty in most of the country, with minimum temperatures generally between -19 and -9 degrees, with the lowest values ​​in Transylvania and in the mountain areas.

The yellow frost alert is valid between January 12, 8:00 p.m. – January 13, 10:00 a.m.

Later, from tomorrow, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. until Wednesday, January 14, at 10:00 a.m., a third yellow frost code will come into effect, targeting Maramureș, most of Transylvania, the northern half of Moldova and the mountain area.

Here, the weather will remain particularly cold, locally frosty. There will be maximum temperatures that will generally fall between -9 and -3 degrees and minimums between -13 and -6 degrees.

The third frost code yellow is valid from January 13, 10:00 a.m. to January 14, 10:00 a.m.

Forecasters' announcement for the coming days

At the same time, ANM issued a weather report of particularly cold weather, frost especially during the nights and mornings, snow and local snow cover, mixed precipitation, hail and wind intensification, for the interval January 12, 10:00 a.m. – January 14, 10:00 a.m.

Thus, on Monday (January 12), the weather will be particularly cold throughout the country, with maximum temperatures generally between -8 and 0 degrees and persistent frost in small areas in Banat, Crisana and Transylvania, where thermal values ​​will be around -10 degrees. The night from Monday to Tuesday (January 12/13) will be frosty in almost the entire country, with temperatures generally between -19 and -7 degrees.

On Tuesday (January 13) the weather will remain particularly cold, with limited areas of frost in the center and northeast of the territory, so maximum temperatures will generally be between -8 and 2 degrees. On Tuesday night, there will still be frost in the north and northeast and in limited areas in the center, south and east, the minimum temperatures throughout the country will fall between -13 degrees in the north of Moldova and the east of Transylvania and 2…3 degrees in the south of Banat.

Throughout Monday, it will snow locally in the north and center, and in Maramureș and the north of the Eastern Carpathians, a new layer of snow of 3…5 cm will be deposited. On Tuesday, the area of ​​snow will include mainly the intra-Carpathian regions, where a layer of snow will be deposited, generally of 2…8 cm, and in the Western Carpathians and in the west of the Southern Carpathians, locally of 10…15 cm (equivalent in water of 10…15 l/m2). Starting from the evening of Tuesday in the west and south-west of the country there will be mixed precipitation and precipitation.

The wind will intensify in the high mountain area, especially in the Southern Carpathians and in the Curvature Carpathians, with speeds of 70…80 km/h, blizzarding the snow and reducing visibility. Wind intensifications will be on Monday, in limited areas and in the low areas of the southwest, center and northeast (with speeds of 40…50 km/h).
