Rivaldinho's career has fallen noticeably in recent years and he has now signed in Thailand with his new team, where he was officially unveiled earlier this week. At True Bangkok United he will wear the number 7 shirt.

True Bangkok United have officially announced the signing of Brazilian striker Rivaldinho, who joins the team to bolster their attack ahead of the matches in the second half of the 2025/26 season. Rivaldinho, a 30-year-old Brazilian forward with a height of 187 cm, is the son of the legendary Rivaldo, world champion with Brazil's national team at the 2002 World Cup.
The player has extensive experience at the professional level, performing in strong championships in South America, Europe and Asia.
His career began at Mogi Mirim, in the Brazilian Serie B and Serie C leagues, after which he went to gain experience in the first European leagues in several countries, including Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria and Poland.
In 2025, he began his Asian journey with Qingdao Red Lions in China's second division before accepting a new challenge with True Bangkok United. Rivaldinho stands out for his physical strength, aerial play, ability to protect the ball and finishing in the box, making him dangerous for opposing defenses due to his excellent positioning and goal instinct.

Rivaldinho left Romania a year ago
Rivaldinho first came to Romania in 2017, at Dinamo, from Paysandu. He performed in the “Ștefan cel Mare” group until January 2018, he went to Bulgaria for a short period, then returned to Romania at Farul, in January 2019.
He also wore the jersey of the Craiova University, after which he returned to Farul, where he had his last experience in Romania, until February 2025.
