He broke windows in the residence of US Vice President JD Vance Cincinnati, Ohio. According to American media, the man was detained by the services – the authorities informed. Neither the politician nor his family were at home at the time.


According to local media quoted by CNN, the incident occurred just after midnight. The detainee broke at least one window in the two-story house of the US Vice President. The man most likely did not break inside. However, for now, the details are not known, and some information is not made public for the sake of the investigation. The Security Services only informed that the perpetrator was “caused property damage outside the vice president's private residence”.
SThe US services coordinate activities with the Cincinnati Police Department and the State Attorney's OfficeUnited States authorities in reviewing the decision to bring charges – he saidł spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.
The law enforcement representative noted that at the time of the incident the Vance family wasn't home. It is unclear whether it was “merely” an act of vandalism, or whether the target was the family or the vice president himself.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Vance purchased the more than 150-year-old home in 2018 for $1.4 million.
