The politician also claims that the US actions “are not about drugs or democracy.” In her opinion, it's all about oil and Donald Trump's superpower ambitions. “If he cared about any of the above, he would not have pardoned a convicted drug trafficker or marginalized Venezuela's legal opposition by seeking deals with Maduro's cronies,” he emphasizes.

Trump announced that the attack on Caracas was an operation not seen since World War II and suggested that American services turned off the lights in the Venezuelan capital during it. He also added that U.S. forces were ready for a second wave of attack and are still ready to do so if necessary.
