Daniel Stanciu, the official of FC Argeș, spoke about the interest in Mario Tudose (20 years old), the central defender of the Pitesti team.
Wanted by Dinamo, Mario Tudose also attracted interest from the Gulf. Daniel Stanciu said, however, that FC Argeș would like to sell the 20-year-old defender in Europe.
Tudose was strongly wanted by FCSB in September, but negotiations fell through. Now, he is on Dinamo's list. FC Argeș would only collect 50% of the amount for the transfer of Mario Tudose, because Benfica owns half of the centre-back's federation rights.
Daniel Stanciu: “Dani Coman and I spoke with someone from the Bay Area for Mario Tudose”
“There has been interest all along for Mario Tudose. The transfer window has opened and things have moved on. There is interest. Even today (no – January 2) Dani Coman and I spoke to someone from the Bay Area, but I don't think it's appropriate to go with that option.
If Mario Tudose leaves, he will leave in a strong championship in Europe. This is how we try. This is the interest for us. We are in contact with Benfica, they are interested in making a transfer.
To be honest, I wouldn't really go for the option of him leaving this winter because we have goals to achieve. Tudose doesn't play for us because U21, but because he is a basic player and we need him.
Our objective is to access the version with the play-off and then to adjust also from a financial point of view because we are not doing very well”, said Daniel Stanciu, according to digisport.ro.
