US President Donald Trump concluded a positive conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding Ukraine, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said on Monday. She did not provide details of the leaders' conversation.

“President Trump concluded a positive conversation with Vladimir Putin regarding Ukraine,” Leavitt wrote in a one-sentence post on Platform X.
Neither the spokeswoman nor Trump himself has yet revealed details about the content of the conversation.
Already on Sunday, the US President announced during a meeting in Mar-a-Lago in Florida with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, that he would hold another conversation with Putin after the meeting with the Ukrainian leader. Trump and Putin also talked by phone before the American leader's meeting with Zelensky, and Trump later reported that Putin was very seriously interested in peace and that he believed in his declarations on this subject.
According to Trump, Putin also expressed his will to cooperate with Ukraine regarding the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant occupied by Russian forces, as well as to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine. The American president said that Putin wants Ukraine to succeed.

“Russia will help. Russia wants Ukraine to succeed. It sounds a bit strange, but I explained it to President (Zelensky),” Trump said on Sunday.
“President Putin has been very generous in his sentiments towards Ukraine's success, including providing energy, electricity and other goods at very low prices,” he added.
Meanwhile, Putin on Monday told Russian military officials to continue their offensive in the Zaporizhia Oblast in southern Ukraine and in Donbas in the east of the country.
