Thomas-Răzvan Moldovan will take over the position of president from December 28, 2025. Bogdan Matei submitted his resignation on December 18.

Ilie Bolojan dismissed Bogdan Matei, the president of ANS, from his position upon request, appointing Răzvan Moldovan as interim

On December 24, Ilie Bolojan signed the request for the dismissal of Bogdan Matei, appointing the current vice president of ANS, Thomas-Răzvan Moldovan, as interim.

Bogdan Matei had taken over the mandate of president of ANS in January 2025, after Elisabeta Lipă was forced to resign following her election to the Romanian Parliament.

Art. 1 – On December 28, 2025, Mr. Constantin-Bogdan Matei resigns, upon request, from the position of president, with the rank of state secretary, of the National Sports Agency.

Art. 2 – Starting with the date provided for in art. 1, Mr. Thomas-Răzvan Moldovan, vice-president, with the rank of undersecretary of state, exercises the powers of president, with the rank of state secretary, of the National Agency for Sport, until the appointment of the head of the institution, in accordance with the law.
