He recently revealed his vacation plans, explaining in one of his public appearances why he definitely set his sights on visiting Japan.
“For the holidays I'm going on vacation in Japan, in Tokyo. I want to try this part of Asian food”, said Costin Lazăr in mid-December, invited by his friend Săpunaru to an old-boys event.
Now, Costin Lazăr has published the first images from his Japanese experience.
The former midfielder, currently the coach of Progresului Fundulea, in League 3, visited one of the famous markets in Tokyo, tasted Japanese dishes, then took a photo in a skyscraper, from a dizzying height.
Lazarus also passed by “Meiji Jingu”, a very popular tourist destination, one of the most important Shinto shrines in Tokyo, dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken.

He turned his back on his former colleagues
Recently, old teammates from Rapid teased Costin Lazăr for the way he maintains himself at 44 years old.
Still fit, the former midfielder showed off his impressive form at an old-boys match. “Look at him, he's not gaining any weight! But that's how it's been all my life, there's nothing you can do about it“, praised Ovidiu Herea, the one who, unlike Lazar, gained weight after retiring.
Present at the event hosted in the Rapid Hall, Cristian Săpunaru also joked with Lazar: “It's like he ate boards!”.
