It is unlikely that midfielder Andrei Ciobanu (27 years old) will continue at Oțelul Galati beyond this winter. The red-white-blue club told him he was free to leave.
Considered at one point to be a promising midfielder, with selections in most junior national teams, even a basic piece in the youth team, Andrei Ciobanu is now in free fall.
After an unsuccessful season at Farul, with only 23 appearances and two decisive assists in the championship, Ciobanu signed this summer with Oțelul, but he is not doing much better at Galați either.
In the 18 appearances in the Superliga he contributed with one goal and two decisive assistsand Oțelu management told him that he is free to leave in the winter market.

From GSP.ro information, the footballer received a transfer paper, a document through which the club sends him, in black and white, that they no longer rely on his services and that he is no longer part of the team. This is also the reason why he disappeared from the score sheet in the 2-1 draw with FC Argeș, in the 21st round.
Ciobanu has signed with Oțelul until the summer of 2027, but it is unlikely that he will continue in Galaţi beyond February, when the transfer window closes.
The central midfielder has significant experience at the Superliga level: 215 matches, in which he responded with 19 goals and 16 decisive assists. He was part of Viitorului's team (now Farul) at the 2017 title.
