UEFA has announced that it will award €9 million to women's clubs that have sent players to their national teams for the 2025 European Championship.

The European Women's Football Championship ended in July with England winning the final after beating Spain 4-2 on penalties.

9 million euros for women's football clubs

UEFA has now announced that the clubs that had players in the national team will also receive money, more precisely 9 million euros will be shared with them. The amount is double that of Euro 2022, where 4.5 million euros were awarded.

Furthermore, UEFA has also published the list of over 100 clubs to which the amount of money will be distributed.

The forum decided that each club should receive an amount for each day that a player was called up for competition, including preparation days before the debut and one day for travel.

The amount for each player was €1,095, so approximately €21,900 per player for a team eliminated after the groups.

England received the most, a total of over 2 million euros, followed by Italy with 1.3 and Spain with 1.1.

As women's football continues to grow and develop, we want everyone to enjoy its success. The club benefits program reflects the pivotal role European clubs play in developing the players who have turned UEFA Women's EURO 2025 into a ground-breaking and memorable tournament. These payments are not just a financial reward, but an investment in the future of the game, strengthening the important collaboration between club and national team football.
