Polish independence will be at risk if it turns out that as a result of bad decisions or lack of decision, e.g. on the part of Europe, Ukraine would have to capitulate – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Thursday at the summit in Brussels. As he said, using frozen Russian assets is the best solution.

In today's situation, supporting Ukraine, which means de facto protecting Ukraine from the need to capitulate, is also an effort to prevent Russia from gaining a strategic advantage over us as well. To put it briefly, Polish independence will be at risk if it turns out that as a result of bad decisions or lack of decision, for example on the part of Europe, Ukraine would have to capitulate – Tusk warned.
– I would like it to finally reach everyone – not only to my colleagues in Europe, but also to everyone in Poland – that when we talk about the need to support Ukraine with these Russian funds, it is because we know well that the independence of Ukraine removes the risk of aggression or war from Polish borders, and the collapse of Ukraine as a result of this war would mean a direct threat to Poland. So we also look at it, in a sense, egoistically – emphasized the Prime Minister. (PAP)
