The nuclear icebreaker “50 Let Pobedy” and the bulk carrier Yamal Krechet collided in the Kara Sea. The footage shows the moment and the first shots of the icebreaker after the accident.
It all happened on the night of January 26th. “50 Years of Victory” received damage to the plating of the left side edge, clearing the way for the ship stuck in the ice. There were no casualties. Now the icebreaker continues to operate normally in the waters of the Northern Sea Route.
