Nine out of ten parents in Russia (91%) said that at least once a week their children use the “Mary Poppins” of the 21st century, aka a smart speaker. Another 54% indicated that this happens daily. A new study was shared by VTsIOM together with the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment. We collected the main things:
— Nine out of ten (92%) moms and dads are satisfied with the content in the columns. Almost the same number (91%) say that technology adapts to age.
— The most popular column turned out to be “Alice” – it was chosen by 85% of respondents. Next: “Marusya” (11%), “Salyut” (3%). When choosing a device, they rely on ease of use of general services (31%), reviews (29%), and so on.
— Most often, smart speakers are purchased for children (64%). Therefore, “children's mode” is actively used by as many as 77% of respondents. And the daughters and sons themselves often interact with technology without the help of adults (61%).
