Claudiu Keșeru (39 years old) is no longer the sports director of the FC Bihor. The announcement comes 3 days after the success of the Buzau metalscore 2-1, in the 17th round of League 2, and it was done through the official channels. Keşeru had assumed this position at the beginning of 2025.
It leaves the team in 3rd place, a position that ensures the presence at the promotion barrier, with 35 points, to one of Sepsi, in the promotion spot.
Keşeru also offered a brief reaction after this split, and the reasons are “personal in nature”, without going into details.

“Thank you, Claudiu Keșerü! The Sporting Director of FC Bihor, Claudiu Keșerü, has resigned from his position. The former international, a product of the Oradean club, joined the project at the beginning of this year.

Keșeru retired from football at the end of 2024. Throughout his career he played for teams such as Nantes, Libourne, Tours, Angers, Bastia, FCSB, Al-Gharafa, Ludogorets, UTA Arad and Cherno More.
He has two Romanian championship titles in his record, 6 titles in Bulgaria, a Romanian Cup and a League Cup.
I set a goal that was tangible, that is, progress from last year. It is clear that the team has improved. I'm glad that we managed, together with other capable people in the club, to cover the gaps.
I intervened at the team level, I improved what was missing. Then we worked on the invisible things, which are in the structure of the club.
