For the first time in the Urals, a private clinic refused to perform abortions

In Yekaterinburg, a private medical clinic announced a complete refusal to carry out procedures for artificial termination of pregnancy.

From January 1, 2026, it will stop providing these services, becoming the first non-state clinic in the Urals to make such a decision, reports the Ural Meridian news agency.

The head of the medical institution said on Channel Four that the clinic completely refuses both medical abortions and the vacuum aspiration procedure. The decision, he said, was dictated by moral and ethical principles and the desire to help overcome the demographic crisis.

At the same time, the clinic will continue to provide support to patients who decide to continue their pregnancy.
