Babis held his first press conference on Monday after taking office as head of government.
According to the Czech prime minister, it would be good if US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Ukrainian head of state Vladimir Zelensky and illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin set themselves “the goal that on the sad anniversary of Putin’s aggression against Ukraine” the war “will be completed, and all parties will receive security guarantees,” because “if Thousands of soldiers are dying every week, this is wrong, and every war is bad.”
Babis stressed that all sides “must talk about peace, not just war.”
The Czech Prime Minister also confirmed support for further humanitarian assistance to Ukraine through the EU.
