Demand for 2026 World Cup tickets has exploded, with FIFA recording five million requests from fans in more than 200 countries and territories in the first 24 hours of the third sales phase.
The tournament, which will be the first in history with the participation of 48 teams, will be organized by the United States of America, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026, has aroused the interest of fans from all over the world.
Five million ticket requests in one day
According to FIFA, just 24 hours after the opening of the third round of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup, worldwide demand has reached extraordinary levels. Fans from over 200 countries and territories submitted 5 million ticket requests.
Initial data reveals huge interest in certain group stage matches. The game between Colombia and Portugal, which will be played in Miami on June 27, is by far the most popular. The top five of the most searched matches is completed by the following:

The ticket phase for the random draw remains open until Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and the timing of a ticket request during this time period does not affect the chances of success.
