A moratorium on apartment construction has been introduced in the Russian capital. Without waiting for the adoption of the law on the legal status of apartments, the mayor’s office refused to approve the construction of such real estate in the city.
The reason was the dissatisfaction of officials with the lack of social infrastructure in the apartment complexes. Also, permanent residents of the apartments are deprived of the opportunity to register in these areas, which means they cannot receive even the simplest social services.
The restriction will affect almost 11% of the primary market in Moscow.
