Minister Waldemar Żurek. What do Poles think about him? Results of the latest survey


The latest UCE Research survey for Onet examined how Poles evaluate the actions of the Minister of Justice.

The respondents were asked the question: “How do you assess the actions towards the rule of law and judicial reform undertaken by Minister Waldemar Żurek?”.
The results indicate significant divisions in society.
- 34 percent respondents expressed a positive opinion about the minister's decisions, including 18.5 percent rated them very well.
- 32.3 percent respondents had a negative opinion about Żurek's actions, including 17.8 percent found them very bad.
- 33.7 percent study participants were unable to clearly evaluate his decision.

Who is Waldemar Żurek?
As we wrote in Business Insider Polska, Waldemar Żurek is the third judge after 1989 to be appointed Minister of Justice and, at the same time, prosecutor general.
He is a leading critic of Zbigniew Ziobro's government, determined and consistent.
In April 2025, he sued the State Treasury for compensation for repression in 2015-2023.
