Fowler revealed that he recently underwent surgery to remove cancerous skin from his face. Moreover, he shared photos of himself before and after the surgery and assured fans that “everything is fine now.”
“Before and after…a few people have been saying the same thing lately, go get your spots checked,” the former England international wrote alongside the photos, adding that in his case it was “basal cell carcinoma. Luckily I was caught early so all is well.” Basal cell carcinoma is defined as a type of non-melanoma skin cancer that starts in the top layer of the skin.
Robbie Fowler scored 163 Premier League goals
Fowler is one of the best strikers in the history of Liverpool and the England national team. He scored 163 goals in the Premier League alone in the 90s and 2000s.

Voted Premier League's best young player in 1995 and 1996he is one of only three players to win this title in consecutive years, along with Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney (both Manchester United).
Robbie Fowler also had a career in coaching. No success
The former Liverpool and Leeds star also made 26 appearances for England in his playing career, scoring seven times. The small number of selections is also due to the fact that in those days he had to compete with numerous top strikers such as Alan Shearer, Teddy Sheringham, Ian Wright and Michael Owen.
In 2012, after retiring from the activity, he started a career in coaching. But there was no success. He trained several teams abroad, the last one being Al-Qadsiah, from Saudi Arabia, who fired him in 2023.
