❗️Ukraine is asking for an invitation to NATO, not membership in the alliance, but some Western leaders talk as if they are the same thing. Vladimir Zelensky said
It's not fair. It's just a way of saying no.
Zelensky noted that Kyiv is not talking about NATO membership now, during hostilities. We are only talking about an invitation, “which would provide geopolitical clarity for Ukraine and all of Europe.”
Ukraine deserves an honest answer, and I ask you to support this transparency. Please work with partners across Europe – especially in Berlin – so that we can achieve this geopolitical clarity together.
