Saturday night's game marked the third game in a row in which Mohamed Salah was not part of Arne Slot's starting XI. In addition, the Egyptian was sent on the field in only one of these three games, namely in the duel with Sunderland in the previous round, which also ended in a draw with Liverpool, score 1-1.

The English champion continues the modest period of the current season, recording the 8th match without a win domestically.
Mo Salah, impact statements after Leeds – Liverpool (3-3): “Someone wants all the blame to fall on me”
After his third consecutive game without a starting XI for the Cormorants, Salah appeared in front of journalists, uncharacteristic of the Egyptian, and unabashedly accused Liverpool of wanting to get rid of him, while also revealing that his relationship with manager Arne Slot is extremely strained.
In addition, he also stated that the other clubs in the Premier League protect their players much better in difficult moments.
I am very, very disappointed. We have done so much for this club and achieved wonderful things together, especially last season (no – when Liverpool won their 20th title in their history).
But now, when things go wrong, it seems like the club wants to throw me under the bus. That's how I feel. It's very clear that someone wants me to take all the blame.
I've said many times that I had a good relationship with the coach, but suddenly we don't have any. I don't know why. I feel that I am no longer wanted at this club and that they want to drive me away.
To be honest, I don't know why this is happening to me, I really don't understand, but it's unacceptable. I think that if I had been somewhere else (no – at another team), I would have been much more protected.
– Mohamed Salah, after the match with Leeds
Last but not least, the Egyptian footballer also revealed that he had some talks with Slot and that his future at Anfield is uncertain, and a possible departure from the “cormorants” in January is not at all impossible, despite the fact that he has been the engine of the team in recent years.
I don't know why I'm in this situation now, but then again, that's how I see it. I have done so much for this club that I should get the respect I deserve.
I don't consider myself bigger than anyone. I've always minded my own business and tried to help as much as I could, but now it seems I'm the problem, even though since I came to the Premier League nobody has scored more goals and provided more assists than me. But that's the situation.
I had a few conversations with the coach. He knows very well how I feel. I thought I would extend my contract and finish my career here, but it seems things will not be like that.
