Mihai Teja, the coach of the Metalloglobusreacted after his team recorded a draw with CFR Clujscore 2-2, in stage #2 of the Romanian Cup groups. The result removes Bucharest from the qualification calculations.
Mihai Teja was dissatisfied with the result because the positive result obtained has no impact in the calculations of the qualification in the next phase of the Romanian Cup. Bucharest missed the qualification regardless of what result they will record with Slatina in the last stage.
Mihai Teja reacted after Metaloglobus – CFR Cluj: “I paid for the match with FC Argeș”
“I'm not satisfied, because it doesn't help us at all. We wanted and did our calculations with the three points, even if we were playing with a good team. We did our calculations to win this match and the one with Slatina, and with 6 points I think we were moving on. Now it's quite difficult, one point doesn't help us.
Unfortunately, we paid for the match with FC Argeș, but a point does not help us at all. We also had a goal, in the first half we had another opportunity. We wanted to win, we played with determination. We could win, even if we met a quality opponent. That's it, I didn't make it.
It is a moral point, a point that gives us continuity. It's a shame that we can't take what we should take, because we're playing well. We want to win points”, said Mihai Teja, according to digisport.ro.
Those from Metaloglobus can't rest too long. For the people of Bucharest, there is a duel at home with Farul Constanța in the Superliga in just 3 days. The duel was scheduled for December 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Metaloglobus missed qualifying for the next phase of the Cup and the situation is not good in the domestic championship either. The formation led from the bench by Mihai Teja is in last place in the Superliga with 8 points obtained in 18 stages.
