Heidi Klum, the model who will present the event, spoke to FIFA about the honor of participating in such an event. It won't be the first time she's been put in this position, having also presented the 2006 World Cup draw in her native Germany.
“To present the draw again, after being involved in this spectacle 20 years ago in my home country (Germany), is truly extraordinary. The World Cup brings the world together like nothing else, and to be part of that magic again, on an even bigger stage involving three host countries and 48 teams, is an incredible honour,” said Klum, who returns to the World Cup draw after previously taking part in event before the 2006 tournament in Germany,
Donald Trump will be present at the World Cup draw
The President of the United States of America will be present at the draw. The decision is not a total surprise. The president has repeatedly emphasized the importance of hosting the World Cup during his second term, particularly because of its symbolism for the United States, which will celebrate 250 years of independence during the tournament. White House officials confirmed Donald Trump's presence at the event.
“On Friday, President Trump will attend the draw for the FIFA World Cup Finals at the Kennedy Center,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
