Xian Emmers (26 years old), the former Rapid player, signed a contract valid for a year and a half with FC Argesthe team that today defeated the Giulești in a match from the Romanian Cup groups, score 2-1.

Xian Emmers has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with our team, being the first transfer of the mercato period that will start on January 1, 2026. After starting football at KRC Genk, Xian was recruited by Inter at the age of 16. In Italy, Emmers shone with the Nerazzurri's Primavera side, where they won the Championship (2016-17, 2017-18), Coppa Primavera (2015-16) and Supercoppa Primavera (2017-18).

He made his senior football debut at US Cremonese, in Serie B, where he was loaned by Inter. In his first senior season, the Belgian played 20 matches. After this experience, he was loaned to SK Beveren in the Belgian first division and in the 2020-21 season he went to Almere City in the second division in Holland. Thanks to the developments at Almere, Xian was transferred in 2021 by Roda JC Kerkrade. At Kerkrade, Emmers scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 41 matches.

Romanian football fans know Emmers well from his time at Rapid, where he arrived in 2022. In Giulesti, the Belgian quickly established himself. He wore the cherry jersey in 59 matches and scored 5 goals. In the summer of this year, he left Giulești and went to the United States of America, to Phoenix Rising FC, where he played 17 matches. Born in Lugano, Switzerland, Emmers represents Belgium on the national stage, having been selected in all junior categories from U16 to U19. 250,000 euros is Xian's market share, according to the specialist website transfermarkt.com.

In 2022, Rapid paid 200,000 euros to bring him to Giulesti. Emmers spent 3 years in Bucharest and scored 59 matches, 5 goals and zero assists. It is quoted by specialized websites at 250,000 euros.

FC Argeș still has 3 stages to play in the calendar year 2025 with Csikszereda, FC Botoșani and Oțelul Galați. Xian Emmers could debut in the first match of 2026: the one against FCSB, scheduled for January 17.
