Denmark and Romania are qualified in the main group of the World Cup. On Monday night, they will fight for two extra points, some that would pave the way for the quarter-finals.
Denmark has changed its strategy for the match against Romania
Helle Thomsen, the former coach from CSM Bucharest, knows Romanian handball well and made an important decision on the brink of the match.
Denmark started with a win against Japan in the final tournament. The next day, the Nordics had scheduled a practice, but Thomsen canceled it.
It was no longer the case now. Helle wanted to carefully prepare the dispute against the “tricolors”. Anne Mette Hansen and colleagues entered the hall today, for “to move a little, review more tactical aspects, and some players to throw a little at the goal”. The quote also belongs to the coach.
The extreme right Andrea Aagot and Trine Ostergaard they trained separately from the rest of their colleagues, due to minor medical problems. The Danes are optimistic about the chances of the two playing today..
Ovidiu Mihăilă went for a different idea
Ovidiu Mihăilă went on a different plan. Romania's training session today was replaced by a recovery session in the gym.
Romania's staff also opted for a dose of relaxation, a visit to the “Palace of Peace” in The Hague.
Romania's national team, official visit to the Peace Palace in The Hague! Today, the team stepped into one of the most important symbols of diplomacy and international justice: the Peace Palace in The Hague (Netherlands). The Permanent Court of Arbitration, the UN International Court of Justice and the prestigious Academy of International Law operate here.
The entire complex is supported by the famous Peace Palace Library, one of the most respected legal libraries in the world. The Carnegie Foundation manages and protects this place, ensuring its operation. A moment of inspiration and honor for the Romanian delegation!

VIDEO. Ovidiu Mihăilă believes in a surprise: “Why not win?”
Ovidiu Mihăilă's debut on the bench of the Romanian national team was in October, a narrow failure against Norway, score 27-29. The coach is recalling that memory in view of the duel with Denmark.
Why not?, we might even win this match. It would take us higher than we first thought. I just want to look at the Denmark game. We have to capitalize on everything we can. Why not win? Why not leave with 4 points? Even if it will be very difficult, they are a force in world handball, but we have to play with courage. I think we can rise to the level of Denmark
– Ovidiu Mihăila
