“They are stronger.” Orban spoke about his impressions of Putin

The day before they met at negotiations in Moscow. Putin and Orban again stated that they consider Budapest the best place for the meeting of the Kremlin head with US President Donald Trump and peace talks in Ukraine.

Answering questions about his impression of Putin, the Hungarian prime minister called him “a former KGB officer who has reached the pinnacle of his career.”

“It’s no secret that he was a resident of the Russian special services in Germany. An extremely trained person who deeply knows the entire dossier,” Orban described the head of the Russian Federation, noting that Trump is not like that and does not focus on details.

Orbán said Hungary cannot negotiate from a subordinate position, but “needs to have strength, which you don’t have.”

“It’s not easy with the Russians, because although I respect them, they came to us three times, in the First and Second World Wars, and then we also survived ’56…. They are stronger. But who owns Hungary today? To us, right?” – said the Hungarian politician.
