In addition to the duels between the Super League teams, Universitatea Craiova 1-0 Mainz and FCSB 0-1 with Red Star Belgrade, other Romanians performed (or were involved) in five games played on Thursday in Europe and the Conference League.

Four of the duels started at 19:45, while only one game started at 22:00. One of the Romanians was not directly involved, being an unused reserve.

Ionuț Radu, reserve in Bulgaria » Răzvan Lucescu, unhappy after the dramatic equalization in the 89th minute

In the match between Ludogorets and Celta Vigo, which ended with a score of 1-0, the goalkeeper of the national team, Ionuț Radu (28 years old), remained on the bench for the entire duration of the match, after starting 16 games for the Spaniards. The defeat saw Celta Vigo drop from the top spot to 10th in their Europa League group.

In Greece, PAOK lost two important points late in the match against the Norwegians in Brann after conceding a goal in the 89th minute.

Răzvan Lucescu, visibly displeased, declared after the game:

“We conceded a stupid goal. I made changes out of necessity, I didn't have the necessary freshness. Brann is a strong team. We have to give more until we return to normal”, said the Romanian technician, according to metrosport.gr.

The Greeks remain in the middle of the only group in the Europa League.

Racovițan, integral in the “score of the evening”, while Rațiu's team led, but still left Slovakia defeated

Rakow set up Conference League 'score of the night' in a 4-1 home win over Rapid Vienna.

Defender Bogdan Racovițan ticked off all the minutes and was among the best players in the Poles' camp, receiving a grade of 8.1. Rakow remains undefeated and climbs to 5th place in the Conference.

In the away game from Slovakia, Andrei Rațiu entered in the 32nd minute, after the injury of his “rival” at the post, Balliu. Rayo led at half-time (1-0) but lost after a poor second half, with Slovan turning the score around to win 2-1. The Spaniards fall to 12th place, and Rațiu receives a grade of 6.9, being above the team average.
