We will find ourselves in isolation: communities demand budgetary support for passenger transportation.
The All-Ukrainian Association of Communities called on the government to allocate UAH 22-25 billion in the 2026 state budget to finance passenger transportation.
UZ can no longer withstand: losses in 2025 will exceed UAH 22 billion, and it is no longer possible to cover them at the expense of cargo. Without state aid, Ukrainians risk finding themselves without a railway and in transport isolation.
For millions of Ukrainians, the railway is not a luxury, but the only way to get to work, hospital or study. Without budget funding for passenger services, people will simply be cut off from basic services.
VAG emphasizes: funding from the budget is not an expense. This is an investment in the security, social stability and defense capability of the country.
