At the turn of 2025 and 2026, 735,000 will go to schools. browser laptops and tablets. They will be used by students for educational purposes. Contractors for the first round of deliveries have been selected, informed the Ministry of Digitization.
Laptops, browser laptops and tablets will be used by students during school classes, which will translate into the development of their digital competences and allow them to get to know new technologies up close, the ministry said in a statement published on its website.
Its authors added that in special cases, a given device may be loaned to a student under the general rules applicable at the school.
In total, 404,000 will go to Polish schools. 250 laptops for a maximum amount of PLN 1,168,298,670 gross, PLN 110,000 250 browser laptops for a maximum amount of PLN 181,495,755 gross and PLN 220,000. 500 tablets for a maximum amount of PLN 384,503,490 gross.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs announced that for the purchase of PLN 735,000. pieces of computer equipment, a maximum of PLN 1,734,297,915 was allocated. The money comes from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO). The investment is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education.
The authors of the announcement emphasized that the purchase of laptops, browser laptops and tablets is part of a comprehensive action that will improve the equipment of schools with modern technologies.
The procedure is divided into three parts, respectively for laptops, browser laptops and tablets, separately for each of the 73 subregions of the country according to the division used by the Central Statistical Office, the so-called NUTS3.
The selection of suppliers for individual subregions takes place in four rounds – until the end of November.
The Ministry of Digitization is also conducting proceedings thanks to which schools will be equipped with remote learning kits, natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) laboratories and artificial intelligence (AI) laboratories. (PAP)
