The Romanian national handball team won the second friendly test of the “Carpathian Trophy”, the 2025 edition, a competition hosted by TeraPlast Arena, in Bistrița, against the Czech Republic, score 37-30. The last match before the World Championship is on Sunday afternoon, from 17:30, against Austria.
Thursday, in the first match of the “Carpathian Trophy”, Romania won without the right to appeal against the representative team from Portugal, score 40-28. On the other side, in the first stage, the Czech Republic drew with Austria, score 29-29.
Saturday's duel, Romania – Czech Republic, was the second of the day, after Austria – Portugal was played before, a match won by the Lusitanians, score 33-19.

On Sunday, from 17:30, the test against Austria will follow, the last one before the final tournament which will take place between November 26 and December 14, 2025.
Romania will take part in the 27th edition of the Women's Handball World Championship. The “tricolors” were never lacking, unmatched performance.
Romania is part of Group A, which is played in Rotterdam, alongside Denmark, Japan and Croatia.
