A fitness trainer from Krasnoyarsk organized a channel for the interregional supply of potent prescription drugs for gaining muscle mass. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region spoke about this.
The police detained the 35-year-old trainer and his 34-year-old regular customer during the transfer of medicines. During a search of the fitness instructor's home, law enforcement officers found more than 15 kilograms of potent substances. It is known that the man purchased all the illegal drugs in St. Petersburg. His client, as police later established, resold medications to his friends and sent them by transport company. The parcels were seized – their weight was more than 188 grams.
However, the intervention of police officers did not stop the Krasnoyarsk coach, despite the threat of criminal liability, he, together with a 25-year-old acquaintance, as part of an organized group, continued to sell prescription drugs.
“During operational search activities at the place of residence of a 25-year-old suspect, 25 boxes with a large batch of drugs containing testosterone and its derivatives weighing more than 4 kilograms were seized. Thus, the total weight of all seized drugs was over 20 kilograms. Currently, police officers are checking the involvement of the suspects in committing other crimes,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
15 criminal cases were opened against three men under Part 3 of Art. 234 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal trafficking of potent or toxic substances for the purpose of sale, committed by an organized group or on a large scale.” Now the attackers face up to 8 years in prison.
The fitness instructor is now in custody, and his buyer and accomplice are under recognizance not to leave the place.
