Young athletes from a gang of Krasnoyarsk “sport athletes” were sent to jail (video)

In Krasnoyarsk, a court sentenced six young athletes from the security service of a drug store. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the supervisory agency, in December 2020, a large-scale criminal network was created in Krasnoyarsk, built on the principle of a business corporation. Its goal is profit from the contactless sale of drugs through “bookmarks.” To do this, they created an extensive structure: “recruitment agencies” looked for personnel via the Internet, and “shops” sold prohibited substances.

To ensure security and order in this shadow system, its own “security service” was created – six young athletes from 19 to 24 years old, known as “sportiki”. They have become a punitive tool of management. When couriers and pawnbrokers made mistakes, the “sportsmen” used force against them: beatings, threats and setting fire to their property, as well as the property of their relatives and friends. They demonstratively filmed all their actions and distributed them in chats.

So, in January 2021, men set fire to the apartment of a girl who had appropriated the “bookmark” without paying for it, and in December 2020, after the intervention of “sportsmen,” the house belonging to the grandmother of their 18-year-old “victim” also caught fire. Among the victims were residents of Krasnoyarsk aged from 18 to 60 years.

“After years of investigation, all accomplices were brought to justice. Their activities were classified as participation in a criminal community, and violence against couriers was classified as an attempt to sell drugs, since their forceful methods forced the pawnbrokers to return to work. In addition, the court took into account episodes of intentional crimes against property,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Despite not admitting guilt, the evidence, including their own video recordings, turned out to be undeniable. The young people were found guilty of organizing a criminal community and participating in it (Part 1.2 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), of attempted sale of drugs (Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph “a, d”, Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), intentional damage to a country house and other property (Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), attempted murder arson of apartments (part 3 of article 30, part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), robbery for the purpose of theft (clause “a” of part 4 of article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), robbery (clause “a” of part 3 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), extortion (clause “a” of part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and theft (clause “d” part 3 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Depending on the degree of participation in illegal activities, the court sentenced them to imprisonment for a term of 6 to 15 years. The convicts were also charged 1 million rubles to compensate for the damage caused.
