The creation of a new specially protected natural area has been approved in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry reported.
The decision was made today, November 11, at a government meeting. The new territory is called “Komarovskie rapids” and is located in the Kansky municipal district.
“The area of the natural monument, located on both banks of the Kan River, will be more than 1000 hectares. In this territory, 12 species of animals listed in the Red Book of the region and 9 rare species of plants were identified», — explained in the press service.
Within the boundaries of the protective zone, activities that cause harm to protected natural complexes will be prohibited. At the same time, the local population will still be able to collect and prepare mushrooms and berries, cut hay, raise bees, harvest wood for their own needs, and also take tourists.
