The national team of Bosnia carried out an unusual training ahead of the match against Romania, which will be played on Saturday, November 15, from 21:45, in the preliminaries of the World Cup 2026.

Due to the rains that stormed the city of Sarajevo, the field where Sergej Barbarez's national team was supposed to train was soaked with water and became impassable.

In this context, the training on Monday, November 10, was moved to the gym of the Malak Hotel, where the Bosnian team is staying. On Tuesday, the footballers would train under normal conditions, according to sportsport.ba.

“The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered today in Ilidza and started preparations for the preliminary matches against Romania and Austria.

Due to the unfavorable weather conditions, which made the pitch in the FK Sarajevo Training Center impassable, the training took place in the hall of the Malak Hotel in Sarajevo.

All the players were present under the command of coach Sergej Barbarez, with the exception of Adrian Leon Barisic, who will miss the action of the national team due to an injury”, the Bosnian federation sent, through an official statement.

Before Saturday's match, Romania is in 3rd place in Group H, with 10 points, 3 behind Bosnia. Austria is the leader of the group, with 15 points.

Adrian Leon Barisic is not available, he was injured yesterday with the club team. Unfortunately, I received the information 15 minutes ago.

I have been in contact with Raldeljic all week, he has not trained at all and is not ready. Just so you know the procedure, we spoke on Friday and agreed not to summon him this time.

We spoke again on Sunday, he needs rest and unfortunately we can't count on him,” announced Sergej Barbarez.
