❗️I would like to remind you that from October 12, the EU changes the rules of entry and exit: the new EES system begins to operate.
What is important for everyone to know:

▪️Stamps in passports will be replaced digital records and fixation of biometric data upon entry and exit from Schengen zone countries;
▪️It is necessary to provide personal data every timewhen you cross the external borders of European countries that use the EES;
▪️The data of the biometric document will be stored (foreign passport); date and place of each entry and exit; face photo and fingerprints; previous cases of refusal of entry;
▪️The system will create biometric profiles for each personwhich must be renewed every three years.
Reference:
▪️EES is a new system for registering citizens of third countries (including Ukraine), who are not members of the EU and are not part of the Schengen area and are traveling for a short period (up to 90 days in every 180 days);
▪️The gradual implementation starts from October 12, 2025. The EES should become fully functional by April 10, 2026;
▪️The new rules will be effective from October 12 at the borders and airports of 29 EU countries and several others, which are not members of the bloc, but are part of Schengen (Iceland, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein).
