The governor discussed with the leaders of religious associations and national-cultural autonomies the preservation of peace in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Mikhail Kotyukov met with representatives of the councils under the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on interethnic relations and interaction with religious associations. At the Rodina People's Friendship House, the head of the region discussed with the leaders of confessions and national-cultural autonomies issues of strengthening public harmony, protecting spiritual and moral values, as well as assistance to the participants of the Northern Military District and their loved ones.
Kotyukov noted that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where 170 nationalities live, special attention is paid to the prevention of conflicts on religious and national grounds:
“Those who are trying to split Russian society understand that our strength lies in unity. We need to explain to people what inciting hatred can lead to and who benefits from it. Interethnic unity is the basis that shapes the activities of the state for many years to come.”
At the meeting, participants shared their experience of holding events to strengthen interethnic harmony. This, in particular, includes teaching Russian to children from neighboring countries, lessons in patriotism and charity events, volunteer and cultural and educational projects.

PChairman of the Council of National Youth Associations “MIR” Andrey Zarechansky spoke about the involvement of young people of different nationalities in the public life of the region: the guys are actively working to adapt foreign students, prevent radicalism and extremism among young people, and the projects they implement are aimed at developing volunteerism, national unity and counteracting destructive influences in student groups.
And to support the North Military District fighters and their loved ones, all religious and national associations in the region collect humanitarian supplies, make camouflage nets, trench candles, sew warm clothes, and write letters to the front. Representatives of faiths also provide spiritual support to the families of fighters. Bishop Ignatius of Yenisei and Lesosibirsk noted that such consolidation of society has not happened for a long time and it transforms the human personality and soul.
At the end of the meeting, the governor thanked all those present for their contribution to maintaining peace in the region.
Note that 2026 will be declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The corresponding proposal of the ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society Vitaly Kuznetsov the day before at a meeting of the Council on Interethnic Relations supported nresident Vladimir Putin.
