“I have finished the courses, the exam will probably be in a week, and then I will have the official paper. This thing, having paper, does not change the data of the problem in any way. I work very well with Cristi and we can be together here, and elsewhere, and anywhere. I understand each other very well, I have learned many things from him and I am happy that I had the chance and he accepted me to be second to him in this team”, explained Ianis Zicu.

Even though he had announced that the target for the regular season round is to collect at least 23 points, the coach from Constanta declared himself satisfied with the current endowment, with one point more than the established objective. “It's an important test for us because it can keep us in 6th place. And I say that we are in this place, because we have victory in the direct match with Oțelul Galați, even if at this moment the goal difference is taken into account and this means that at the end of the regular season tour we are in 7th place. Mathematically, we are in the top six teams, with 22 points, and it is a positive thing that we exceeded the score from last season.

There are teams behind us that have a good chance of entering the play-offs, that's why it's very important how we start the comeback, and the match with FC Botoșani must show us the direction. The important thing is to stay in the play-off spot and get wins, because when you score points, no one can beat you. We have to start the comeback with great confidence and stay in the goal”, said the Farul coach.

One of the reasons for optimism is the fact that his side have not conceded a goal in the last three legs, in which they have instead managed to score five times.

“The fact that we were conceding a goal in every game was a detail that we couldn't fix at the beginning, even though we managed to win. But we lost points because we were inaccurate in some moments, we complicated ourselves in situations that should have been solved much more simply. I think that's dragged us down a bit and maybe that's why we don't have that point that we're missing because of a lot of individual mistakes“, added Ianis Zicu.

We are playing against the team in first place, the revelation of the championship, with the best defense and the best attack, so it will be difficult. But we have to collect points and be in the play-off place. It doesn't matter who will be behind us, the important thing is that we are in the top six teams.
