💰 “There are two biggest problems in Ukraine. This, of course, is war and corruption. They are almost equal for me. Corruption, of course, is lower, but it still knocks people out.”– convinced Mykhailo Dianov, defender of Mariupol, former prisoner.
🕯️ Most of the comrades with whom he fought in Mariupol died or are in captivity:
“Almost all my comrades died or were captured. There are two that have returned. Four more remain in captivity, and I don't know if they are alive or not,” says the fighter.
🏙️ Dianov emphasizes: they defended not just the plant, but the city itself:
“When there is a difference – Azovstal or not Azovstal – it is not a big difference. We defended Mariupol, the city, not the factory. The plant then protected us. If it weren't for those bomb shelters, we wouldn't have survived.”
🩺 After a serious injury, Mykhailo continues to fight for a full life:
“Doctors said that the rehabilitation course will have to be completed throughout life. But I achieved significant results.”
