Nicolae Grigore, 42 years old, coach of Gloria Bistrita, commented defeat with FCSB1-3 in group B of the Romanian Betano Cup.
Gloria was coming after positive results, 3-1 with Chindia and 1-1 with Sepsi OSK, and tonight she received the visit of the champion in a full stadium, with about 6,000 people in the stands of the “Jean Pădureanu” arena.
The second division team scored against the champions, from the penalty by Mensah, but could not get even a point, although they repeatedly gave Zima emotions.
Nicolae Grigore, defeated by FCSB: “They didn't need that help from the referees!”
“For me, personally, a defeat remains a defeat. It has the same bitter taste, especially because it is against FCSB. It is difficult for me to accept it. We tried to prepare a waiting game in the first phase, we knew that they have very fast players on the counterattack.
After they scored we had to take risks, put pressure higher, win balls in their field. As a conclusion, the game was good overall. It remains to analyze what mistakes we made. We have established certain things that, in the heat of the game, have been misinterpreted. But overall, the players played a good game.
One more mention: I think FCSB didn't need the help they got from the referee. I am referring to an easily awarded penalty, from which they scored and forced us to go out, and to the fact that at the end of the game, when we had gone out and risked everything, forcing the tie, that one and a half meter offside comes.
There were 4 minutes left in which we were putting pressure, we were on the back of a good game and we didn't know what could have happened. But we can't take away from FCSB's value, from the fact that they have an extremely strong team and they won deservedly,” said Grigore to DigiSport.

Asked afterwards what he liked and disliked about his team, he replied:
“I liked that the players didn't give up even though it was 0-2 at half-time. We made it 1-2, we had the opportunity to equalize. That's what I asked of them and I've talked since the pre-game conference about wanting players with attitude. I liked the fight.
What I didn't like are some mistakes which we will discuss. I had to watch the match again to convince myself that I am. But Gloria Bistrita is on a good path”.
I really liked what Bistrita showed. They have quite interesting players, with a lot of desire, quite good physical and technical qualities. A team that looks to be worked on, with players of quite good quality, but FCSB won without using themselves much.
