How Daisy Link Became Known
Daisy Link, 30, went viral in 2024 after she claimed she became pregnant with another inmate (Joan DePaz), but without physical contact. At the time, she was accused of murdering her husband and was in pre-trial detention awaiting trial.
Despite the fact that she would not have had sexual contact, the woman gave birth in prison. How was it possible? Link and DePaz (also charged with murder) allegedly said they improvised a system where they tied bed sheets between the vents of the cells, and DePaz allegedly sent semen to Link wrapped in plastic wrap.
“I can't believe it worked,” Link said in an interview with WSVN in November 2024. “I think everything happened for a purpose.”

The process has come to an end
Now, Daisy Link's trial has come to an end, and the woman has been found guilty of murdering her ex-partner, Pedro Jimenez, with whom she had two children. The two had been a couple for about nine years before the murder.
Daisy Link's lawyers say she committed the crime in a fit of rage after her partner allegedly threatened to kick her out of the house and take her children.
The prosecutor instead, who won the case, went to court on the idea that the relationship was toxic and the violence was coming from both sides.
,,Daisy Link ignited the spark that night, because she wanted to end this relationship, and this seemed the best way.“, prosecutor Alex Bergida pleaded.
The jury deliberated for less than two hours and returned a guilty verdict of second-degree murder. Sentencing is to be determined at a future hearing.
Kenan Bowie, one of the members of the jury, justified his vote for conviction as follows: “If he ran and got shot in the back, it doesn't appear to be self-defense. There were a lot of lies on her part, from the time she called 911.”
