A Russian traveler who traveled to 86 countries on his “loaf” was not allowed into Ecuador. The circumnavigator in a minibus and other Russians are turned away at the border, citing local legislation.
The state in South America became the first where the famous around-the-world traveler Alexander Morozov failed to get to in his UAZ. He planned to enter Colombia through Ecuador, then go to another continent. Border guards detained Morozov and his team of three people, interrogated the group for an hour and issued a document refusing entry. Explaining everything by saying that Russians are considered a risk to internal security. According to tourists, now all travelers from the Russian Federation are denied entry, including through air travel.
Morozov has already celebrated his round-the-world trip on a “loaf” and set a Russian record, now he’s going for the second – he started another round-the-world trip on the same minivan.
The Russian Ambassador to Ecuador told Mash that the issue is under the control of diplomats, and in a few hours there will be a meeting with leaders from the local government.
