Russia and the United States exchanged prisoners this morning at Abu Dhabi airport, the WSJ claims, citing the director of the CIA.
Russia has released Ksenia Karelina, a citizen of the United States and Russia, who was sentenced last year to 12 years in a maximum security colony.
The United States has released Artur Petrov, a German and Russian citizen arrested in 2023 in Cyprus at the request of the United States for alleged exports of microelectronics.
We previously wrote that Artur Petrov appeared on the proposed list of a new exchange, which was planned after Trump’s inauguration.
UPD. The exchange was confirmed by the FSB.
