Dinamo – CS Dinamo, one of the strangest duels that Romanian football has ever seenis played on Tuesday evening, on the “Arcul de Triumf”, in the groups of the Romanian Betano Cup (9:00 p.m.). The “dogs” from the first league meet the team of the same name from the second league, which also has the role of an unofficial “satellite”.
Get your popcorn ready for the showdown with the dynamos in the Cup! Dinamo, slightly “contorted” after the last two stages, debuts in the new edition of the Cup in the company of friends from CS Dinamo, 14th place in the second league, team coached by Florin Bratu.
The duel counts for the inaugural stage of the Romanian Cup and starts with Dinamo as the big favorite (1.15 according to the bookmakers).
Tuesday's game is also a farewell between Florin Bratu and Dinamo, “Mitraliera” preparing the “dogs” for seven months in 2018.
CS Dinamo, the club subordinated to the Ministry of the Interior, has four loan players from FC Dinamo in the squad. It is about Răzvan Pașcalău, Andrei Ionică, Ianis Neculai and the Ukrainian Vadym Kyrychenko.
Repetitive abnormality
Dinamo is a “recidivist” when it comes to such unusual poses. Not further than nine years ago, the red-whites ran into the club's second team, disbanded and re-established several times since then, in the “16th round” of the Romanian Cup, in the old format. Dinamo prevailed at the limit, 2-1.
The match played in Ștefan cel Mare had an unexpected development. It was not a simple training session with the public for the team coached by Ioan Andone at the time, which had difficulties in winning the match against the “satellite” who was playing in the third echelon at the time.
Dinamo II, coached by ex-star Laurentiu Diniță, resisted without conceding a goal for 55 minutes, when Groza put the ball into his own goal. Andrei Tîrcoveanu, at that time in the second team, restored equality in the 65th minute, so that Patrick Petre, a player whom Andone was then starting to integrate into the first team's rotation, scored the winning goal in the 79th minute.
Petre Jr. and Daniel Popa were goal scorers at the “satellite” in League 3, but in the Cup match they performed at Dinamo I.
Other novel aspects: Denis Ciobotariu was the owner of the “satellite”, just like Mihai Eșanu, the one who, six years later, would be the owner of Dinamo from the nightmare “barrage” with U Cluj! And Mihai Popescu, over the years champion with Farul and FCSB, was only a reserve in Andone's band.
Only 200 spectators attended the duel between Dinamo and its second team, in a match refereed by Horia Mladinovici, at that time an employee of the Dinamo Sports Club as a physiotherapist.
Cheers and dark humor in the stadium
The game caused a stir in the stands. The few fans present in the South Lawn of the stadium in Ștefan cel Mare” made fun of the trouble, resorting to confusing slogans: “Dinamo, fight Dinamo!”. Moreover, after the referee Horia Mladinovici did not award two penalties for Dinamo II, the fans in Peluza Sud chanted: “Thieves, thieves!”.
Just like now, the match was played towards the end of October. Dinamo – Dinamo II was played on October 26, 2016, the duel between the “dogs” from the first league and the Ministry team will take place on October 28.

The story of the match Dinamo – Dinamo II, the fraternal duel from 2016
The game between Dinamo and Dinamo II should have been a simple formality for Ioan Andone's team, bcbut the “dogs” from League 1 were in many moments inferior to the “satellite” rifles.
After a first half without any major opportunity, Dinamo opened the scoring only in the 55th minute, following an own goal by Groza. The 3rd League boys got back on the table in the 65th minute, thanks to the success of Tîrcoveanu. The winning goal came only after Andone introduced the heavy pieces. Patrick Petre was the author in the 79th minute.
The end of the match belonged to the team prepared by Laurentiu Dinita, who missed important opportunities in the last minutes!
