The reason for the release of fuel oil on the coast of the UAE is a leak in oil tankers when filling a tanker in a port that is located five kilometers from land.
Now about 200 tourists from Russia are vacationing on the shores of Fujairah. Some still feel unwell, nausea and headaches, but none of the tourists went to hospitals. Due to the heat, the stench intensifies, and as a result, people feel bitterness in their mouths.
Hotels promise guests a transfer to other beaches where there is no fuel oil, but in the end, according to vacationers, the buses do not come. In order to somehow compensate for the rest, people have to travel by self-propelled vehicles.
Cleaning up oil on the coast of the Gulf of Oman is still underway; fuel oil has already saturated several centimeters of sand deep. As a result, two beaches and four hotels were damaged. Workers promise to finish by the end of the week.
