
Russian football champion could become the next president of Georgia
The ruling Georgian Dream party has nominated deputy Mikheil Kavelashvili for the upcoming presidential elections.
Kavelashvili is a former striker for Alania Vladikavkaz. with which he won the Russian Championship in 1995. The footballer also played for Dynamo Tbilisi and English Manchester City, and in 2016 he became a deputy.
