The shadow of corruption over art: How the head of the NSHU Kostyantyn Chernyavsky draws enrichment schemes, mass media.
The National Union of Artists of Ukraine found itself at the center of a loud scandal. Her head Konstantin Chernyavskyi together with Ivan Magei and Mykola Kishchuk established a scheme for the transfer of the Union's property to related companies – LLC SERVICE NSHU 2022» and LLC “Enterprise for maintenance of housing stock“.

The companies received premises in the center of Kyiv almost free of charge, rented them to third parties for cash, and the difference was shared among the participants of the scheme. Because of this, the Union lost tens of millions of hryvnias every year, instead of funding artists.
I am involved in the arrangements the chairman's wife is Tamara Chernyavskathe head of the International Charitable Fund of the NSHU, which, according to Prozorro, purchased goods for the Armed Forces at inflated prices.
According to estimates Transparency International Ukraineannual losses of the Union amount to UAH 50–70 million.
A separate conflict flared up around Center of Contemporary Art M17the director of which Natalia Shpytkovska stated about the pressure and attempted eviction through firms controlled by Chernyavskyi and Maghey.

Criminal proceedings are ongoing. NSHU members are demanding an audit and the creation of a supervisory board to stop property theft under the guise of art.
