Florin Niță played one year at Damac, in the first league in Saudi Arabia, between August 2024 and July 2025. He has been free of contract for 3 and a half months, after parting with the Saudi club. Niță still does not want to retire, hoping to catch a team and be in the national team in case of a possible qualification for the World Championship.

The 38-year-old veteran was not called to the last actions, being without a team. The selector Mircea Lucescu called Răzvan Sava, Ștefan Târnovanu, Ionuț Radu and Horațiu Moldovan to the last two actions.

Nița was in the group last time in June, in the games with Austria, 1-2, and Cyprus, 2-0. The goalkeeper did not play in the two matches. The last game in the national team shirt dates back to March 21, 0-1 with Bosnia, in the preliminaries for the World Championship.

Niță has 31 matches for the national team, 4 of them at the 2024 European Championship.

I did not imagine that I would have 30 matches in the national team. Playing, I reached this threshold. I want to reach the 40 game mark as well. I really wish.
