The Russian forces on Monday attacked the city of Kharkov, the second largest city in Ukraine, with guided bombs, interrupting the power supply for 30,000 consumers from three districts, local officials announced, according to Reuters.

The regional governor Olegi competent has argued, in a message published on the Telegram Messegress application that Russian forces used guided bombs to attack Nemyshlianskyi and Slobidskyi districts and Shevchenkivskyi district.

Mayor Igor Terehov, in an interview on local television, said that the three bombs damaged a hospital and hit the electricity transport lines. Nearly 30,000 consumers were affected by current interruptions.

The mayor said that four people were injured, most of the broken glass designed in the air, and some patients were transferred to other sections.

“Unfortunately, the hospital was quite badly damaged and there were patients inside. Four people suffered injuries of varying degrees and about 200 windows were broken,” Terehov said.

“The attacks generally target energy objectives – energy production and transport, the electrical network. The purpose is that the energy transport network does not work,” the mayor added.

In recent weeks, Russian forces have focused their attacks on targets associated with the electrical network and gas industry in Ukraine, as winter is approaching, in the war that has been lasting for more than three and a half years.

A massive attack on Kiev and other centers, made last week, has temporarily left over one million households and companies without electricity throughout the country. The water supply was also interrupted.

In the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetk region, one of the main targets of Russia's slow advance in the area, a Russian drone attack killed two people in their car on Monday, the head of the city military administration announced.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said on Monday that its forces have captured two new villages in their advance through eastern Ukraine-one in the Donetk region and the other near Kupiansk, in northeastern Ukraine, a largely destroyed city, for months under the siege of the Russian army.

But the first body of the Ukraine's National Guard has announced that it has rejected a new attempt by the Russian forces to advance near the city of Dobropillia, in the Donetk region.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski and other officials reported successes of the Ukrainian army around Dobropillia, located near the important Pokrovsk logistics node.
