Dust returns literally a day after cleaning, especially on open shelves, TV, pictures and upper cabinets. The reason is not “dirty air”, but because an ordinary damp cloth simply smears microparticles without removing them completely. Dry dust also easily rises into the air and settles again.
But there is an easy way to slow down its return. You will need some fabric softener, which every housewife has.
Dilute 1 teaspoon of conditioner in 500 ml of warm water. Wipe all smooth surfaces with this mixture: glass, wood, laminate, glossy plastic. The air conditioner leaves an invisible antistatic film that repels dust rather than attracting it.
After a few minutes, wipe the surface with dry microfiber until shiny. There is no smell left, but the effect lasts up to 10–14 days.
Do this cleaning once every two weeks, and even on the busiest weekday the house will look fresh and well-groomed. Especially noticeable on TV, mirrors and kitchen facades.
